Our commitment to sustainability

We have been part of the international "science-based targets" initiative since 2023.

We have been committed to environmental and climate protection for a long time, and now we have also made an official commitment. Since mid-July 2023, we have been part of the international "science-based targets" initiative, where companies can set science-based targets and thus commit to climate protection. As the only South Tyrolean company to date, we have set ourselves a concrete, very ambitious target: We have to save 46% of our CO2 emissions in Scope 1 and 2 by 2030 (reference year is 2019).

Our motivation

We have decided to join the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) because it is time to act and make concrete and dramatic changes. SBTi is currently the only commitment for companies to meet the Paris climate goals and implement absolute reductions in their operations.

This initiative convinced us because, as the name science-based targets suggests, it is based on scientific calculation methods and, above all, because no compensation payments are allowed here.

For SMEs, this is the most ambitious target possible and if every company were to commit to it, according to the initiative's calculations, global warming would be stopped at +1.5 degrees.

What we need to do

Scope 1 and 2 includes all direct and indirect emissions of the company. In our case, these are those generated by our headquarter, such as for heating and electricity, and those for the company's activities, such as our consultants' business trips to clients.

So there is a lot for us to do if we want to reach the target, but we accept this challenge and want to lead by example.

What we have already achieved

We have already reduced our CO2 emissions by 41% between 2019 and 2023. You can find out how we achieved this and what we are working on in 2024 in our detailed report.
